Globální fórum statistiky cestovního ruchu zahájila Ministryně pro místní rozvoj Věra Jourová (ANO). Jde o významnou prestižní mezinárodní událost Organizace pro ekonomickou spolupráci a rozvoj a Evropského statistického úřadu, která se poprvé v historii koná v České republice.

"České republice se díky velmi dobré spolupráci všech organizátorů a partnerů podařilo v rámci desetiletého výročí vstupu do Evropské unie získat pořadatelství této mezinárodní konference. To představuje unikátní příležitost jak české odborné veřejnosti zprostředkovat aktuální vývoj, poznatky, trendy a způsob využití nových technologii při získávání statistických dat a realizaci výzkumů v oblasti statistiky cestovního ruchu," řekla na úvod ve svém vystoupení ministryně Věra Jourová.

Globálního fóra se účastní více než dvě stě delegátů z 39 zemí, mezi kterými jsou významní experti na statistiku cestovního ruchu, vysocí představitelé mezinárodních institucí a další zástupci veřejného a soukromého sektoru.
