Rock Master Calling for Climbers Top Athletes, Top Duels in Arco

It comes fast, fascinates, intrigues and gives audience the possibility to grow its passion for climbing.

Rock Master’s beauty takes place on Friday September 1 st for a Special Edition. Climbing lovers or simply tourists passing by always bring home a special memory: a picture, a smile, a signature or a long-wished selfie with their favourite champion.

When Rock Master calls, the best champions answer. After a peculiar search by the technical director Angelo Seneci, here are the first ‘big’ names. Drum roll for home champions as Stefano Ghisolfi, Michael Piccolruaz, Laura Rogora and Camilla Moroni: all of them have already taken part to the historic event. The legend Adam Ondra comes back with his six Rock Master Trophies, but he will find the great Austrian Jakob Schubert on its way. After dominating the last edition, he is coming back with a reason more to shine in the Italian climbing temple.

Making their way back also the Austrian Jessica Pilz, the 2018 Lead World Champion, winner of Rock Master 2022, and the Slovenian Vita Lukan, second place in the Lead Duel last year. Also coming: the German Yannick Flohé, 2021 Combined World Champion and twice on the World Cup podium last year; the American Jesse Grupper, with two World Cup victories in 2022, and the Japanese Taisei Homma, Lead specialist.

The young German Hannah Meul, born in 2001, will enchant the audience with her delicate and clean movements. She reached a good 4 th place during the Youth Olympic Games in 2018 (combined) and was able to obtain different World Cup podium, particularly in the Boulder discipline.

Some names are still missing for this 2023 Special Edition, but are soon to be announced. Misha Piccolruaz is ready to challenge his ex-flatmate, great friend and training partner Jakob Schubert. Both of them played an exciting duel last year. The unstoppable Austrian talent, winner of an Olympic Bronze medal in 2021, won his second Rock Master Trophy after his first time in 2019. Rock Master Special Edition 2023 is a work in progress. One special day and one competition: the one and only Lead Duel that will crown the new Rock Master. Audience can enjoy it free. Other special guests are going to be revealed soon. They will entertain audience during the afternoon with their stories, climbing-based, of course. Rock Master never disappoints, when the sun sets, lights turn on the wall and magic can start.
