The Marche at the Cycle Tourism Show: Routes and Landscapes to Explore by Bike

The region also promotes cycling tourism through major international cycling events, key strategic tools to enhance its global visibility. Following the final three stages of the Tirreno-Adriatico in March, in May it will host the finish of the eighth stage of the Giro d’Italia in Fermo, further strengthening its positioning as an ideal destination for cycling enthusiasts and active tourism. 

On the occasion of the Cycle Tourism Show in Padua, scheduled from March 27 to 29, 2026, the Marche Region will take center stage together with ATIM, the Agency for Tourism and Internationalization of the Marche, presenting routes, landscapes and unique experiences to be enjoyed by bike. 

A rapidly growing destination, the Marche confirm their excellence in the sector thanks to routes that cross rolling hills, coastlines, historic villages and cultural destinations. Among the key itineraries are the Ciclovia Adriatica, the Ciclovia delle Abbazie, the Ciclo Appenninica Alte Marche and the Grande Anello dei Sibillini. A panel dedicated to some of these routes will take place on Sunday, March 29 at 11:30 am, titled "The Adriatic Cycle Route in the Marche".

The year 2026 will mark a further step forward in the promotion of regional cycling tourism, thanks to major international cycling events, which act as strategic drivers to bring the Marche into the global spotlight. The Marche Region’s decision to partner with RCS Sport is linked to the strong international reach of these events and their ability to generate wide-scale visibility. 

The Marche are thus building an increasingly distinctive positioning, addressing a broad international audience that chooses cycling as a preferred way to explore landscapes, culture and traditions.
