Prague Museum Night is here again

On Saturday, 8th June, 2013, from approximately 7 p.m. to 1 a.m., museums, galleries and other cultural institutions will be open to Prague residents and visitors.

The event is put on by the National Museum, the Prague Public Transport Company and the Czech Association of Museums and Galleries in cooperation with other institutions, and co-funded by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and the municipal authorities of Prague.

What can visitors look forward to this year?

Like every year, the event will be complemented once again by a wide range of special events. Traditional expositions, exhibitions and cultural monuments will come alive with extraordinary experiences and events. You can look forward to lectures, concerts, film screenings, competitions and other interesting events. Prague Museum Night offers plenty of attractions for young visitors, too. Many sites will offer special kids' programming, so bring your children along so that they can learn something new and experience something unusual while discovering the world of culture.

Transport and entry to all buildings for free!

Prague Museum Night will offer people free access to most cultural sites again this year. To facilitate movement between sites, transport will be provided by special Prague Public Transport Company buses, which will shuttle visitors between sites for free on lines especially designed for this occasion. As in past years the central transfer point will be Jan Palach Square (nám. Jana Palacha), near the Staroměstská metro station on the green line (A).
