Fram norwegian means "Forward". The ship cruised this name polar sea captains Nansen, Sverdrup and Amundsen. On his pioneering expeditions it was built by Norwegian polar explorers in 1892. Hull was specifically amplified and shaped to prove after long months of withstanding extreme pressure ice.

Fram had three masts and displacement of 800 tons.

Catered to drive a steam engine with three cylinders. When she plucked Amundsen conquering the South Pole, the ship was fitted with a Diesel unit. The first ship in the world!

No other boat built of wood never went northest or southest.

Proud Norwegians therefore built at the end of active life pilgrimages around the ship building museum. On the shore of the sea in Oslo you can admire today.
