1. Kodachadri trek

Kodachadri Trek is one of the famous treks in Karnataka located in the town of Maravanthe which is beautifully framed by the evergreen trees of the Kodachadri Hills. One of the best hiking trails, they begin at the South Kanara Forest in the Mookambika Wildlife Sanctuary in Karnataka's Western Ghats at an elevation of 4411 feet above sea level.

Kodachadri Trek may be readily completed by beginners or novice trekkers. Altitude sickness risks are also minimal because most of the excursion takes place in a forest environment at low altitudes. There are 14 kilometers between here and there. 

2. Kudremukh trek

With its steep routes, diverse vegetation, and wildlife, the Kudremukh trek which rises to a height of 1894 meters above sea level, is a haven for hikers and naturists alike.

The view of the heavens and clouds across the Arabian Sea from the summit is spectacular. The variety of scenery this Kudremukh trek offers along the way, from tall bamboo bushes and shola woods to flowing streams and undulating hills, is one of its distinctive features. The Kudremukh National Park, which has a lot of vegetation, is where the top is located. Along with the stunning Western Ghats and otherworldly scenery, Kudremukh also offers several hikes across the region's verdant hills.

The walk-up Kudremukh peak is the most well-known and beautiful Kudremukh trek. The journey passes through the Kudremukh wildlife sanctuary, which is home to tigers, leopards, wild dogs, deer, and other animal species. 

3. Z Point

Z Point, a vantage point that can be reached after a 3 km hike, is located near Kemmangundi and offers stunning views of the Western Ghats. This hiking walk starts near Kemmanagundi Raj Bhavan and leads through a dense forest, where you'll find Shanti Waterfalls. 

The walk is simple up to Shanti's fall, but after that, it becomes a little challenging. You'll probably be on a winding trail later in the walk, surrounded by steep hills and deep valleys. One of Chikmagalur's most popular tourist destinations is Z Point, which is also a great place to see the sun rise and set.

This path, albeit a little challenging, offers breathtaking views of the Kemmanagundi mountains and some expansive grasslands that provide a distinctive background to the slopes. It is located at an elevation of 1500 meters above sea level.

4. Tadiandamol trek

Tadiandamol trek, the second-highest mountain in Karnataka and the tallest peak in the Coorg area, is a hiker's dream. At the height of 1,748 meters, the grassy ground and gentle slopes entice you with their picturesque appeal and tranquil ambiance. The Padi Igguthappa Temple is a significant draw to this area.

The primary god of the indigenous Kodavas is Igguthappa, who is revered in this region as the Giver of Grain. A well-liked adventure activity in Kodagu is trekking from Nalaknad Palace to Tadiandamol mountain. The 'Easy' Tadiandamol trek trail is around 7 km long and can be finished in a single day.

5. Hidlumane Falls

Due to the variety throughout the 13 KM track, it is one of my favorite trails in the western ghats. The nicest part of the hike is when we enter the jungle after crossing a little water stream and arrive at the exquisite "Hidlumane Falls." Although a little difficult, it offers the best views of the Sharavathi backwaters, beautiful green meadows, a jeep road, and a deep forest atmosphere.

With an elevation of 1,343 meters, it ranks as Karnataka's tenth tallest summit (4,406 ft). If we're fortunate, we could get to see the breathtaking Arabian Sea horizon. It's not a myth, and I count myself among the fortunate ones to have this vision. A 40-minute, rocky, and intriguing jeep trail marks the finish of the expedition.
